Installed where the chimney passes through the roof deck, the 8-Inch Roof Radiation Shield provides an extra layer of safety. It guards rafters and building materials against radiant heat, ensuring you maintain the mandatory 2-inch clearance to combustibles. This galvanized steel shield is a required component for code-compliant roof penetrations with 8-inch pipe.
